This year’s Homecoming theme, “One Team Saluki Dream: Celebrating 150 Years Strong”, encourages SIU students to celebrate the 150th birthday of Southern Illinois Univeristy. “One Team Saluki Dream”, allows SIU students to show off just what it means to be part of this great institution, of Southern Illinois and to show off their school pride. This theme motivates students to creative floats that show of highlights of the last 150 years of SIU and the show how we are one big team. It encourages Alumni to celebrate being a “Saluki” and the SIU community to create a strong focus on school spirit and pride.
